J'ai le grand plaisir de vous informer que suite à la donation de la collection Stéphanie et John Smither, 3 de mes dessins entrent au musée de la collection Menil à Houston - Texas - U.S.A 
Ceux ci seront exposés au mois de juin prochain lors d'une exposition dédiée à celle - ci et intitulée " As Essentiel As Dreams ".

"Solange Knopf changed Cavin-Morris Gallery. I don't say this facetiously. Just before we saw her work for the first time we were being drowned in a sea of false horror-vacuui and cultural appropriations that bore no relationship or knowledge of the cultures they were so freely quoting from; mainly Vodun. We wanted some new work in the gallery but not at the expense of the visionary content we have always tried to find and expose. We didn't believe the real thing had disappeared with the commercialization of the market...how could it? Spirit never dies. Then one day I saw a small drawing by Solange Knopf online that was made over a page from a book of decadent poetry. It struck us immediately and we contacted her and immediately felt the vast deep pool of her consciousness, this incredible mix of pain and insight, wonder and ineffable joy. Those drawings were small. Some time later her first large drawings arrived and we were home. Hers is a mind that floats through this word capturing like no other the decadent sensuality of temptation and redemption. This drawing is one from that most recent series. She, like Sefolosha and Zemankova have pushed the field to a place few female artists, trained or untrained, have gone before...Her impact on the field will only grow greater as scholars catch up to those whose work in this field is most authentic rather than generic."

SPIRITED WOMEN: DRAWING DOWN FIRE - Prochaine exposition collective - Group Show -- Cavin - Morris Gallery -du 17 Octobre au 28 novembre 2015

Prochaine  une femme de conjure qui a exprimé aspects spirituels importants de sa culture à des figures totémiques impérieuses et dangereuses. Amalia est un chamane parmi le petit groupe Seri indien sur la mer de Cortez dans le nord du Mexique. Anna Zemánková  

fait des dessins intenses et alambiquées d'organismes du jamais vu sur Terre. Solange Knopf fait des dessins incantatoires h psyché ythical afin de guérir et équilibrer son ainsi que d'autres. Artiste ojibway Aube Walden repousse les limites de
la vannerie contemporaine en observant la façon dont certains oiseaux dans les forêts autour de sa maison obsessionnelle ligne et tisser leurs nids perpétuer une forme de sculpture axée sur la nature. Les peintures de Christine Sefolosha véhiculent une langue de rêve informé par son
résidences suisses africaine et, une poésie visuelle qui est complètement décollée dans le temps. Semone Robinson dit qu'elle art qu'elle considère tout son art pour être un don spirituel de Dieu.
Ce ne sont que quelques-unes des histoires dans Spirited femmes: Drawing Down incendie, un hommage à quelques-uns des artistes visionnaires montrant au Cavin-Morris Gallery. Les femmes sont des artistes qui travaillent loin de la raquette tonitruante de l'ordinaire, avec l'art qui est très personnelle dans l'intention, l'utilisant comme un langage pour communiquer avec le
non-monde matériel, que ce soit par la transe, la médiumnité, visions, expériences hors du corps , ou l'extase religieuse. Pour chaque artiste, faisant de ce travail a été et est un processus de survie inséparable de la vie quotidienne. Ce sont des femmes éclairés par de fortes feux créatifs individuels.
